Computer Systems and Networking Technicians install, troubleshoot, maintain, and network computer systems for business, education, and industry. This program prepares students to enter occupations that involve networking, computer administration/maintenance, and security. It provides basic networking skills, cybersecurity knowledge, server setup, Linux operation, and virtualization experience. Students who complete this degree will be prepared to sit for nationally recognized certification exams such as the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Network +, and PC Pro. Skills will be developed by a combination of lectures and hands-on instructional approach with emphasis placed on lab experiences. Certificates of proficiency are available for those students who desire preparation for more immediate entry into the workforce.
